Hello, my name is Patricia Haston and I have a story to tell:

I didn’t find photography… Photography found me. I was a classical musician who picked up a camera a couple of decades ago and something clicked.  Really!!   I begin by reading every book in the library on the subject.  I took every local class I could find,  set up a dark room and gleaned info from anywhere possible, books,  camera shops, magazines, etc.   I soon was studying privately with a noted Florida Wildlife photographer.  She encouraged me to market my work.   I submitted my work  to a new age music company, Valley of the Sun Publications who found the images perfect for  CD and Catalog covers. I went on to exhibit in groups and privately at art galleries and shows.

One day a  colleague suggested I attend a  professional seminar in Miami called  Creative Posing and Lighting of the Bride and Groom thru the PPA.  This is when I realized how much I loved photographing people. I can truly say I never met a face I did not want to photograph.  I changed my focus from nature to Weddings and Portraits.

I have since discovered the two most wonderful organizations of my trade.  Those being the PPA  Professional Photographers of America, and the FPP  the Florida Professional Photographers.  These are the World’s and the States largest non-profit associations for professional photographers.  They have provided me with top-notch education, resources, classes and seminars to help me succeed in my career.  I have earned numerous merits in service, salon, and business classes.  Other publications include Wedding Style, Town and Country Weddings, Palm Beach Post, Florida Design and more.

I hope you will find that my work speaks for itself.  I will always continue my endeavors of excellence in my chosen craft.
